Thursday’s Council meeting got underway at 7 p.m. and began with a community delegation.
Council heard from the owner of a local taxi company who shared concerns about regulation of the taxi industry, the impact of rideshare companies and enforcement of the City’s taxi bylaw. Following the delegation, Council directed staff to prepare a report on actions to address the impact of unregulated and unlicensed ridesharing services.

City of Woodstock bylaw staff are handing out notices advising residents to move vehicles parked on the street to allow for snow removal.
The City’s parking bylaw prohibits vehicles from parking on the street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. from Dec. 1 to March 31. The bylaw also prohibits parking on the street for more than five hours throughout the year.
