Two Woodstock artists have been chosen to create a sculpture in honour of historic painter Florence Carlyle.
Duane and Urszula Kumala-Thomas were awarded the public art commission for the City of Woodstock. Their sculpture, BIRD SET FREE , was selected by the public art committee from a shortlist of four proposals.

Oxford County, ON – City of Woodstock and Norwich Township property owners can lean more about the proposed boundary adjustment between the communities (or municipalities) at two public meetings on June 27. The Woodstock Art Gallery is celebrating the winner of its annual scholarship and the launch of a new mentorship program for youth.
Emily Bruinsma is the recipient of the 2024 Friends of the Woodstock Art Gallery Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating high school student from Oxford County who will be pursuing post-secondary education in the arts.
