Partner announcement from Oxford County’s Area Municipalities

Want to Know if you are on the Voters’ List? – Check voterlookup.ca

A municipal election is coming October 22, 2018 and the Clerks of Oxford County would like to remind everyone that they can check to see if they are on the voters’ list by checking voterlookup.ca.

Voterlookup.ca is operated by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) and is available for everyone in the County.  In a few simple steps electors can ensure they are on the list, confirm their school board designation and avoid longer waits during the election.

Voterlookup.ca is sometimes very specific about street addresses so the Clerks remind everyone to try variations on their street when inputting into the database.

If you find you are not on the list or your information is not accurate you will be prompted to submit your information online to MPAC. If assistance is required, users can contact MPAC at 1-866-296-6722.

Residents have until mid-July to visit voterlookup.ca to confirm/update their voter information. Information collected through this online service will be used by MPAC to prepare the Preliminary List of Electors for delivery to municipalities. After delivery of the Preliminary List, voters not on the list or with inaccurate information will be required to contact their local municipal office.

Checking that you are on the list ensures your ability to exercise your rights in a democratic process. This online service allows individuals who are not on the voters’ list to easily be added.  So don’t forget to check out voterlookup.ca!
