Celebrate June is Recreation and Parks Month!

June is Recreation and Parks Month! Each year, communities across Ontario celebrate the important role parks and recreation services play in supporting individual, community and environmental well-being. 

The City of Woodstock is offering activities throughout the month at Southside Aquatic Centre, Reeves Community Complex and Cowan Park Sportsplex.

Check out the activity schedule below or download the calendar for more opportunities to get out, get active and be healthy!

Here are a few suggestions to try out this month:

• Explore our local trails, parks and playgrounds. Take a walk, cycle through nature and play!
• Grab your racquets, balls or bats and head to one of our sports fields or courts.
• Cool off at the Finkle Street, Vansittart Park or Cowan Fields splash pads.
• Enjoy your favourite hobby or try something new! Go bird watching, bake something delicious, take time to garden, read a book or grab some sidewalk chalk and head outdoors.
