Flags lowered following the passing of former Mayor John Geoghegan
Woodstock – Flags at City facilities have been lowered in tribute to former Woodstock Mayor John Geoghegan who passed away on Jan. 20, 2025. Geoghegan was named to Woodstock City Council in 1987, filling the seat of retiring Charlie Tatham. He was elected mayor in 1994, where he served until 2003.
“On behalf of the City I would like to offer our deepest condolences to John’s family,” said Mayor Jerry Acchione. “Geoghegan was a strong supporter of Woodstock and held office during a period of important growth and development in the city.”
